Hello Tripawds!

Add an excerpt to your posts to provide a summary for readers in many blog themes!

Hello from Montana.  Our sweet sheep dog, Yeti, will be having surgery tomorrow to become a tripawd due to a recent diagnosis of bone cancer in her right front paw.  She is a tall beast with a strong spirit.  Weighing 75 pounds and with enough fur to look like she carries 120, we are hopeful that she will get a hang of the three-legged hop so that she can continue to impress everyone with her muppet-like ways.  Wish us luck!  This site has been helpful in preparing us rationally and emotionally for the journey ahead.  Here is a picture of the beast…

We are also feeling hopeful that Yeti’s favorite season is just ahead.  The girl loves winter!

  1. Welcome Yeti & family-

Sorry for the diagnosis, but glad you were able to find the site. It’s a great place to learn, vent, cry and laugh.

Where in MT are you? We are in Ennis. Might have to work on a MT Tripawd Pawty!

You’ll be getting lots of advice on here – lots of area rugs on hard surfaces, elevated bowls (especially for front amps) and much more. Get lots of rest as the next couple of weeks are the hardest, but I promise they get better and your bond to Yeti will only get stronger.

Keep us updated and sending pawsitive thoughts Yeti’s way for surgery tomorrow.

    Take care.
